المؤخر هو الذي يؤخّر من يشاء بحكمته البالغة.

Al-Mu'akhkhir means 'The Delayer' or 'The One Who Puts Back'. It signifies that Allah is the One who delays and postpones whom and what He wills according to His wisdom. He puts some matters back, gives respite to sinners, and delays certain decrees for reasons known only to Him. His delay is not from negligence but from perfect wisdom and mercy.
