الصمد هو السيد الذي يُقصد في الحوائج، الذي لا جوف له.
As-Samad means 'The Eternal Refuge' or 'The Self-Sufficient Master'. It signifies that Allah is the One upon whom all creation depends for their needs, while He depends on none. He is the Master who is sought in times of need, the One who is eternal and everlasting. All creation turns to Him for their needs, and He fulfills them without being affected.
