المميت هو الذي يميت الخلق إذا شاء بقدرته.

Al-Mumeet means 'The Creator of Death' or 'The One Who Causes Death'. It signifies that Allah is the One who gives death to all living beings at the appointed time. He is the only One who has power over life and death. He created death as a reality for all creation. This name reminds us of the temporary nature of this life and the certainty of returning to Allah. Quran References: 'He who created death and life to test you as to which of you is best in deed' (67:2). 'Every soul will taste death' (3:185). Spiritual Significance: Al-Mumeet reminds us of the reality of death, encouraging us to prepare for the Hereafter and not become attached to this temporary world. Benefit: Reciting Al-Mumeet brings awareness of the Hereafter, reduces attachment to worldly matters, and encourages preparation for death. It helps in letting go of excessive love for this world.
