الشرح والدلالة · Explanation
الخافض هو الذي يخفض من شاء من عباده بعدله وحكمته.
Al-Khaafid means 'The Abaser' or 'The Humiliator'. It signifies that Allah is the One who lowers and humbles whom He wills. He brings down the arrogant and humiliates the tyrants. This is an aspect of His perfect justice. He elevates whom He wills and abases whom He wills according to His wisdom. This name complements Ar-Raafi (The Exalter), showing that both honor and humiliation come from Allah. Quran References: 'And Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees' (58:11). 'He humiliates whom He wills and honors whom He wills' (3:26). Spiritual Significance: Al-Khaafid reminds us that true honor comes from Allah alone. It teaches humility and warns against arrogance. Benefit: Reciting Al-Khaafid protects against pride and arrogance, instills humility, and helps one avoid the traits of the arrogant. It reminds us that Allah is the One who gives and takes honor.
